Foad Project
The first concern in designing the space of this company was something that perhaps fewer young architects have not experienced, which is a desk facing the wall. A wall that is the only means of communication during working hours. So, the first goal of the design was to create an interaction-centered space with a focus on minimal communication among the staff of this organization.
Foad
Given the location of this complex in one of the industrial warehouses, the first design core was to create a lively and dynamic space. This led us to take the main concept of this complex from nature. The tables in this complex were designed as organic and fluid shapes inspired by water ponds, so that, considering the nature of the complex as a trading office, by establishing a dynamic form, soft lines, etc., while creating visual communication among the staff, a space with the capability of group activities, “teamwork,” would be established, exactly opposite to offices where staff work in a linear fashion facing the wall.
Another important point in this project is the use of olive trees in the middle of the tables, which, considering their concept, conveys a sense of peace and calmness alongside the concept of a pond. The executed lights in this complex were completely designed exclusively to follow the lines of the tables. The noteworthy aspect of these lights is their distance placement relative to the table and the person using the table. In such a way that, with the seating towards the inside, these lights are positioned exactly at the eye and computer level, preventing the creation of shadows on the screen, etc.The plan of this complex was redesigned as an open plan and was differentiated by furniture.
The designed desk for the entrance and reception is made of natural stone as a complete sheet to create a sense of life, nature, etc., in different parts of this complex. As mentioned, this complex was located in industrial warehouses and was pre-built; therefore, an attempt was made to preserve the original structure of the complex with minimal changes. The installations of this complex were implemented in steel with furnace colors to work and interact with each other.
Special spaces were designed for the managers of this complex that can function independently with glass partitions. All the flooring in this complex is covered with carpets, providing a soft flooring and adding to the warmth of this design as much as possible to create an architectural and pleasant environment for long working hours.
